Oregon Composers Forum (OCF) Spring Concert

The OCF is coming this week! My piece “Flight from Crimson Marble” will be premiered along with the work of several other artists (see below). Special thanks to my players; Brandon Rumsey, Cassie Lear, and Alane Thayer.

The Oregon Composers Forum will present an evening of new music by student composers at 8 p.m. in Beall Hall. Admission is free. The selections range from solo piano to string quartet to unaccompanied SSATBB choir, with small chamber ensembles involving woodwinds and strings in between: “Fishing at Dawn” for string quartet; “Tango Suite”; “This Queen” for English horn and soprano; “Flight From Crimson Marble,” and “3 Myths” for solo piano, “Always More Feathers” for alto flute, lever harp, and soprano, to name a few. The composers are Evan C. Paul, Wesley Price, Diana Rosenblum, Shaffer McGee, Damien Bradley, Brandon Rumsey, Charlie Gurke, Krista Abrahamson, and Alyssa Aska.
